Hi all, we're finally back with another update. Despite my eagerness to get these last few pages done we've both been slowed down by other commitments and the mini heatwave we have on both sides of the pond at the moment!

Anyways as you may recall, Sarah and Nikki were having a nice afternoon get together at a local pub with with Lucy and Laura. Sarah asked the party to excuse her and Laura away for a quiet chat about events at Carlingford in which Laura corrected her about the memorable scent she had often noticed in the house. Is it meaningful or not? For now though Sarah's more concerned with catching up with her friends which will give her even more to think about! ;)

Have a nice week ;)

The crow returns. How very ominous...

Love the low angle on the 5th panel. I can never quite pull off some of those angles.

Yeah, the heat and other projects (plus work stress) has seriously slowed me down as well. I was doing a really good job with my buffer since March but now it's cutting things close again ^_~

@kidcthulhu: I could never turn out pages at the speed you do! I'm more amazed though that you always come up with so many ideas for jokes etc. I was about the same' I've always been about 2-3 pages ahead and then I took it easy for a bit too long and now having to work twice as hard to get my comfort zone back!

The crows around where I live in the states are huge. But very smart, they love to hang out in my yard due to us feeding them.

@MichaelHartman: I don't often get to see crows up close but I'm always taken aback at how large they are when I do.

Have a premonition that Nikki will break the news to Sarah that she probably is not in Lucy's long term plans. She is going to let Sarah down gently, and as soon as she can get out of her parents grasp she and Laura are picking up where they left off. I do see our old "friend" the Raven keeping close watch for his ghostly Mistress.

Very nice to see you back. I hope you're coping with the heat; it is possible to have too much of a good thing.

" . . . I guess that explains it." It probably does.

Laura's comments about missing her mother are interesting, but getting into the realm of Electra complexes and other such cod-phycology is probably reading too much into it.

And I have a idea, possibly mistaken, that Nikki & Laura are going to find something in that antiques barn, something interesting . . .

The imagery in the last two frames one looking up and one looking down are very striking.

And, as others have observed, there's that crow again. A bird of ill-omen? Or a protector? Or just a coincidence?

We shall see.

@Fruitbat44: Very intuitive of you sir!Not so much Nikki and Laura though as Sarah will be entering herself next page. We are just a very few pages from the end now, (about 5-6 in all) and then Sarah will understand what Lenore is after at last. I can't speak for the crow but it does seem a strange coincidence it's around when anything to do with Lenore comes up! ;)

I'd be interested to know if Linda is modelled on a South American - my kids are half-Colombianas and they can be almost white in winter, because I'm white. At this time of year they're as black as berries.

Linda is a Spanish name, it means 'beautiful' in Spanish.

@ohanyname!: Did you mean laura?

5-6 pages left? What am I going to do now?

Reply ohanyname!, July 12th, 2018, 2:25 pm

@Lordcholmondlywarner: Skyangel has done other webcomics, Cathy was my favourite: there was also Jane Blonde, which was a very tongue-in-cheek James Bond spoof. There may be a pause, but I hope she'll be back with something, maybe later this year, maybe a bit lighter.

@Lordcholmondlywarner: There will be a short epilogue of about 10-20 pages to follow where we catch up with everyones lives but we intend to have a nice break before we start on that. ;)
