Coming close to the end of a chapter has always been the worst time for me which is ironic really as you would think that to be so close to the finishing line would be motivating enough in itself! But personally I feel all the exciting stuff has been done and all that's left is the tidying up of loose ends and a rounding off. The first chapter was the easiest because I pretty much took the drama right up to the final page so that's what I decided to do again when writing the last and final chapter, I've kept some really nice stuff for the last minute which hopefully keeps you guys excited and in turn excites me, because being excited about comics is what motivates me most.
Soooo.. getting back to burn-out, I've decided I do need to take a break because there are a number of pages left to do concerning Sarah's future beyond Carlingford and despite this being the last chapter it seems more sensible to me now to round off six and tidy all this Lucy/Laura stuff up, take a break, and then come back renewed for the final push.

Getting back to this weeks page, I felt it was worth putting Sarah's perspective on the situation down on paper. I don't expect everyone to agree with it of course, this is just how I see it through Sarah's eyes, for the record. Next week Sarah packs to leave Carlingford and Ron makes one final request from her.

Have a nice week ;)

I think she’s got it about right, but if anything she’s kind to Helen.

I’m looking forward to the rest of the chapter. If you do another comic after Simply Sarah ends, I hope to follow it.

A great page, but it does make me a little sad that the tale is inching that much closer to finished.

"Calm and stillness after a snowfall . . ." Which funnily enough is what we woke up to this morning. :)

Interesting strip. Sarah's judgement, do I agree with it? Well . . . kinda cool that I was (sorta) right about it how it would go, but I'm not sure. But I am glad that Ron's confession as cleared the air and that Sarah seems to be thinking calmly about it.

Interesting that Ron omitted the appearance of Lenore/Random scruffy woman in his confession to Sarah. Will this be significant, when Sarah does find out about it.

Couple of random observations:

1. Calling this strip 'The Judgement of Sarah,' rather than 'Sarah's Judgement,' would give it a rather biblical feeling (JIMO) and, to me anyway, suggest a rather harsher attitude on behalf of Sarah.

2. The first frame: great scene, bleak and yet calm. And I like the idea that The Crow was watching over all of this.

Gosh, I have wittered on a bit?!

Anyway Sky, looking forward to the last of Sarah at Carlingford, and when you do take your break, have a good one.

Nothing said so far removes Ron from the Better Dead From Unpleasant and Extended Painful Causes however his wife has been Upgraded to Bitch On Wheels With Constant PMS and added to Rons assigned fate. Waiting for the Gypsy and her Raven to visit the lovely pair as they take their ease. Will be most entertaining for Laura and Sarah.
